Söderkulla Seventy
Quite windy and not too warm. Across the new 'Farfarsbron' bridge for the first time. Easy rolling especially uphill.
40k ringroad (half) ride
Windy weather and low fitness makes for slow riding...
Thursday 100k
First 100+ k ride this year! A bit of rain in the middle and a steady headwind as usual 🙂
Söderkulla 83 km
Around +10 to +12 C with a bit of sun today. First ride with the road-bike. The bike-path east of Helsinki extends to about Söderkulla (35 km) where I turned around.
Espoo 50k
The roads are mostly washed and free of gravel/sand...until about ring-II (13km). There's a new XXL store at around 16km. Some indecision around Espoo center 22-24km with the bike-path not very clearly marked. A quick stop for a drink & snickers just before 40 km, then into Helsinki central park which is now free of snow. Punctured the rear wheel at about 52 km so I had to walk about 2 km home.
55k ringroad ride
Around +2..+3 C with a cold shower towards the end.
Sunday 110k
Another 100k ride, this time from west to east. Warm but breezy weather. Only one short stop to refill two water-bottles and eat an energy-gel.
Last 100k in 4h 17min (23.3 km/h)
Total 110k in 5h 2min.
Saturday Night Bike Ride
First longer bike ride this year.
To avoid the midday heat I started in the evening around 18:00 and finished late around 23:00 with barely enough light to ride. There is a nice newly built bike-path between espoonlahti and kirkkonummi.
Friday biking
A loop to Espoo and back. 47 km in about 2 hours.
