Montpellier, France

With a travel grant from the Chancellor I was able to attend the IUPAB & EBSA International Biophysics Congress in Montpellier 27 Aug - 1 Sep 2005.

Here are some pictures from the trip.

Place de la Comedie, the heart of Montpellier

The esplanade leading from place de la Comedie to the conference venue.

Le Corum, the modern convention center at which the congress was held. The airconditioning was a bit on the cool side a times I thought...

Trees in the esplanade, the same kind of trees were lining numerous boulevards around the center.

a more modern part of town, south of the historic center

St Clement Aquaduct, a wonderful piece of Roman engineering !
