Hi

I see you are using a NimH pack in conjunction with the X-Peak 3 charger. I have one of these chargers and I have found it does not work properly with either NiCads or especially NimHs.

On my unit, I found that when charging, the unit cuts out too early. Way way too early. I initially found out when I lost radio control of a model aircraft.

It seems other people are having the same problem, here is my reply to a posting.

Latest news is, I changed some internal components and I've got it to work ok on a 1100mAH nicad. I am going to try on some 1600mAh NimH's. NimH's are harder to detect end of charge accurately, than NiCad because the delta-peak voltage is much smaller.

The unit will tend to be perform worse at higher currents since the power supply switching noise becomes more pronounced, as it is loaded.
